Creating style packs

In PLM for Fashion, you can create style packs for a style record.

You can create multiple Style Pack tabs. If the number of tabs exceeds the capacity of the pane, a field is displayed to list the additional tabs. Each tab shares the same name as the name field in the header section. The tab width automatically adjusts to match the length of the name.

You must save newly created records with a defined packaging type before the grid becomes editable. The application supports Pack and Pre-pack packaging types. The key difference is that in Pre-packs, you can specify values in the footer section in selected fields within the grid. This footer section is hidden if you select the Pack packaging type.

System validation is in place to prevent the deletion of Style sizes, colorways, and characteristics if they are already associated with a pack or pre-pack record.

Other features include grouping and freezing columns, deleting tabs and multiple-line records, copying tabs and values from style pack records, and exporting to Excel. Because each tab does not use pagination, you can export all lines to Excel. Additionally, copying values from style pack records only work through keyboard shortcuts.

See Style pack fields for copy and paste actions.

  1. On the style grid page, open a style record.
  2. From the right-side function icons, select Style Packs.
  3. Click New.
  4. Specify this information:
    Name
    Specify the package name.
    Packaging Type
    Select Pack or Pre-pack.
    UOM
Select a unit of measurement from the list.
    Size Range
    Select a size range.
Note: The options available in the Size Range field depend on the size ranges associated with the Style record, and you can only select one size range. If line records are already created in the grid and you change the size range, the previously set size values are removed, requiring you to repopulate them.
    Channel
Select one or more applicable channels.
Note: In Style Packs and Prepacks, the Name, UoM, and Channel fields are automatically populated in the corresponding columns when line records are created, whether individually or using the Add from SKU feature. Any updates made to these fields after the line record is created are saved and retained.
  5. On the Details section, specify details for each pack or pre-pack item.
  6. Click Save.
