Assigning colorways to a style

Colorways pertain to colors that are used to create a style, material, or trim. Colorways are necessary in creating a style’s bill of materials (BOM) and computing costs. In the application, you can define colorways in various ways:

  • As colors, to use in styles, materials, and trims that only contain a single color
  • As combination colors, to use in styles, materials, and trims that use two or more colors
  • As print, to use in styles, materials, and trims that use single and combination colors

To assign colorways to a style, add colors through any of these methods:

  • Adding colors from the color picket and color library
  • Defining colors specifically for the style on the Colorways page
Additionally, to create a clearer sequence of images under Colorways, the images are sorted by their color codes in ascending order. This sorting is currently fixed and applies only to the Style Images Colorways section. The same sorting logic is implemented in the Colorways section under the Drawings and Images tab in the Adobe Illustrator plugin.
Note: You cannot delete a colorway associated with a style if it is selected in the Product Defects grid.
