Generating reports

  1. From the menu, select Basics > Style, Material, or Trim.
  2. Right-click a style, material, or trim record and select Generate Report > Show All Reports.
  3. In the Generate Report window, select these check boxes to set up and generate your reports:
    • Preview: The generated PDF report is automatically opened in a browser tab.
    • Download: The generated PDF report is downloaded to your local file.
Note: If the download check box is selected and the task results in generating more than one PDF report, the files are automatically placed in a single .zip file. View the Task Monitor to see the progress and process of downloading multiple PDF files being stored in a .zip file.

The preview check box is selected by default. When you change the selected options, the last selected options are always remembered.

If the preview and download check boxes are selected, the report is opened in a browser tab and downloaded to your local file.

The generation setup options are also applicable when generating report favorites in Style, Material, Trim, and FQV modules.

  4. Select a report type. The displayed list of reports is filtered based on your access to report templates.
For some reports, you can select details to include in the report. Click Details to select the detail to include in the report.

For Style BOM reports, you can select BOM versions to include in the report.

For Style Measurement reports, you can select sample pages to include in the report.

Click OK to close the details selection window.

  5. To generate reports for styles that are added to the style BOM, select Generate same reports for styles within a Style BOM.
The reports that are selected for the primary style are the same reports that are generated for the styles that are part of the style BOM.
  6. Click Generate.
The report is generated and launched in a separate browser window.

Changes or updates on the relevant BOM lines associated in the style components are tracked in the detail filters. The creation and modification dates, as well as the users who have implemented changes are identified when you generate reports.

See Generated file format for reports and Tracking BOM line updates.

  7. In the application window, click Close.
Note: You can generate multiple reports on multiple style, material, or trim records. To view all the generated reports, select Basics > Reports from the main menu.

The file name of reports for styles that are part of the style BOM contains the number of the parent style.
