Configuring grid editing settings

You can set up what fields are modifiable in the Style grid.

Note: Due to performance limitations, the business rules are not yet supported in the editable grid. If a specified value in the editable grid does not comply with the business rule, whenever the style is opened in the Overview page and the record is saved, only then the business rules validations are triggered for the record.

A tooltip for the Editable Field column on the Style List page also reflects the same clarification on business rule enforcement.

Additionally, consider these behaviors and limitations:

While editing in the grid, other cells within the same style row remain in locked mode until the current value is successfully saved to prevent concurrency issues.
In multi-select Generic Lookup (GL) fields, previously selected Inactive values remain in visible status but are not greyed out. This behavior is a known technical limitation not present in single-select fields.
In Style Overview Extended Fields, you can only select up to 15 extended fields and use the text, number, drop down, date, and check box field types.

Select Setup > Settings.
In the section Choose from below which fields you want to be editable in the grid, specify this information:

Select one or more style overview extended fields. Option for selecting all fields is provided.

Document Library Fields

Select one or more document library fields. Option for selecting all fields is provided.

Click Save (Alt+S).
