Associating images from custom IDM document types

You can upload images in custom document types. You can upload images either through the Document Library module or directly in IDM. Once uploaded, you can associate these images to Style records. Currently, you can only make associations in the Style Images tab and within the Others section.

Listing other available applications for custom document types associated to style images:
  • You can include the images from custom IDM document types in generated reports.
  • The Document Type field is also included in the report XML.
  • Support is available for the Where Used feature in the Document Library for custom document types in Style Images.
  • Annotated images are saved in the same document type as the original image.

There is a current limitation for the Export and Import functions. Custom document types are not yet supported during export or import processes. If a custom document type is unavailable in the target environment, a toast message is indicated, and related images in the Style Other Images section is not displayed.
