Advanced filtering for styles

The Filter function only works for fields of the Generic Lookup type. Fields such as Text, Date, Numbers, and others are not supported. In these cases, we recommend using the advanced filter feature instead.

The created or existing advanced filters in the Style library are automatically available in the action panes. You can only create or modify the search conditions of the advanced filters from the library and not in the action panes.

In the scenario where the column exists in the Style list page but not in the action pane, the filter still works as expected, but you cannot see the column values in the pane.

The application always remember the last selected advanced filter. When the action pane is opened, the records matching the last selected filter condition is automatically displayed in the grid.

  1. On the style grid page, click the dropdown icon for Advanced Filter.
  2. To create an advanced filter, select MANAGE FILTERS.
  3. In the Advanced Filter pane, click Add New Row.
  4. Select the new filter to show the filter details.
  5. Specify this information:
    Name
Specify a name for the filter.
    Active
Select the check box to make the filter active.
    Match
Select Any or All to specify whether or not advanced filter must match any or all of the defined filter rules.
  6. In the Criteria section, click Add New Row.
  7. Specify filter rules by defining these items:
    • Search Field
    • Condition
    • Search Value

You can modify the search values of the advanced filter from the action pane, but not the search conditions.

At least one search condition is required to run a filter.

  8. Select any or all rules to add in the criteria.
  9. Click Save.
Note: Once a filter is applied, the created filter name is displayed in the toolbar instead of the filter icon.
  10. To run an advanced filter, click one from the available filters from the dropdown. The system automatically loads the filter and show matching records in the grid.
