Copying a style
For managing Style Details View, see the Infor PLM for Fashion Administration Guide.
- Select Basics > Styles.

Right-click a style that you want to make a copy of and select Copy / Variant.
Alternatively, you can also click the Copy/Variant (Alt+C) icon.
Depending on your permissions, you may see one or both of the options. If you cannot see the option that you require, contact your administrator or see the Infor PLM for Fashion Administration Guide.
- From the create options, select Copy.

Under the Information to Copy section, specify this information:
- Copy data from
- This field shows the reference data where the new record is based from.
- Load Template

Select an applicable saved template from the drop-down list. The saved details from the template is applied to the style variant.

- To set or assign specific details for each infocluster, go to Details column and click their corresponding Select icon.

Under the Set Values section, specify this information:
- Number
- Specify a style number.
If the ID generator is set up for the Style module and you do not specify a number, the ID generator automatically generates the number based on the next number in the series.
If the ID generator is not set up, you must specify a number. The application validates this field when you click OK.
- Name
- Specify the name of the copied style.
By default, the name of the copy is the name of the style prefixed with the phrase "Copy of-".
Note: Translations are not copied when there are changes on the Name field. Additionally, the prefix "Copy of or Variant" of is not added to existing translations that are copied. - Season
- Select one season value at a time. The default value for
this field is based on the selected source style.
This field shows all the active Generic Lookup (GL) values, arranged first by GL sequence number, and alphabetically by GL name if no sequence number is defined. This action applies to both the Copy and Create Variant functions. The same feature is implemented in the Adobe Illustrator plugin. Support for this feature in the CLO-Vise plugin is not yet available.
Translation is displayed when applicable. After selecting a season and executing the copy task, the generated Style Number reflects the selected season value if configured in the ID Generator setup.
Note: If the application is configured in the settings page to automatically set the Season field to blank for the newly created records using the copy or variant function, this field remains disabled and empty. An info icon is added beside the Season label to inform you about this behavior.As a current limitation, the field dependency in the hierarchy and active business rules affecting the dropdown options are still under review.

Select information clusters whose contents will be copied for
this copy.
By default, all information clusters are selected. You can clear items that you do not require.
Click the Select/Unselect All Clusters icon to unselect all clusters, and select what clusters you want to copy. Click the same icon to select all clusters.
You can only copy an information cluster if your role has the Copy permission for that cluster.
Note: If enabled in the settings, inactive colors are not copied.Contact your administrator or see the Infor PLM for Fashion Administration Guide.

Click the Execute icon.
After the task is finished, the copied style appears in a new tab.Note: When you copy a style, it takes time before other users can access it (if they have access rights to the style). You can immediately use or view the styles that you have copied.
