Migrating IPLMF data to Data Lake
- From the IPLMF menu, select Setup > Settings > Data Lake > Publish Settings.
-
Follow the recommended steps to take when using the migration feature:
- If you have enabled the Allow publishing of data to Data Lake before, you must first disable this option. If you do not intend to use the migration feature, then just keep this setting enabled.
-
To prevent duplicate data, you must first purge any existing IPLMF data in Data Lake using any of these features:
- ION Desk > Data Lake > Purge
- Infor Data Fabric > Data Lake > Purge
- Go to Setup > Settings > Data Lake > Publish Existing Data and select a schema to migrate.
-
Click Execute.
Note: Migrate one schema at a time.
-
A dialog box is displayed with important notes and migration notification.
Confirm migration. Click Yes.
Note: Once the migration task is in progress, the Execute button is disabled and will automatically enable again once the task is completed. Also, background task is created.
-
Optionally, to check the migration status, go to the background task page and
search for the task name – Data Lake Migration.
For migration factors to consider, see Data Lake migration factors.
- To ensure data continuity of the migrated data plus the newly created records in Data Lake, after executing the migration task, make sure to enable the Allow publishing of data to Data Lake setting again based from step 2.
