Copying cost column values

You can copy values from one cost column to another, whether in the same style record or with another.

The copy function on the cost column values are enabled within these copy scenarios for the source and target cost columns:
  • Same Cost Model setup
  • Same Cost Currency value
  • Same suppliers
  • Different suppliers
  • Cost columns with colors
The copy function on the cost column values are not supported in these scenarios:
  • Different Cost Model
  • The Costing Currency value is changed after the costing values are copied from the source cost column and before they are pasted on the target cost column.

  • The Cost Model value is changed after the costing values are copied from the source cost column and before they are pasted on the target cost column.

  • Different Cost Currency values.

  • The target cost elements with Request-generated values. The pasted values for target cost elements that do not come from Request is supported.

  • The target cost elements with BOM Mapping. Pasting of values for target cost elements without values from a BOM mapping can proceed.

Note: A dirty tracker is displayed on the cost element fields with pasted values. Values are saved upon saving the costing page.
