Hierarchy

Use the Hierarchy module to set up the hierarchy structure of style, material, and trim. You can plan and develop for more than one brand, division, or product category. For example, you company may have one or more brand, and several divisions within a brand handle or manufacture different products. You can then assign users to access a certain part of your defined structure.

Note: Any changes that you make in the hierarchy are completed in the background. Synchronization tasks are triggered and executed in the background. These background tasks must be completed first before changes in the hierarchy take effect.

Therefore, Infor recommends that you plan and schedule any change in the hierarchy. You need to inform your users about planned changes to the hierarchy so that they can adjust their workflows and work around your planned schedule.

Once the background tasks are done, you and your users must refresh your browsers.
