Creating sample measurements
Creating sample measurements in the application enables you to request samples of different sizes from your partners. You can create sample measurements in two ways:
- Through the Measurements page of a style record
- Through the sample request
You must first define style measurements before creating sample measurements.
- On the style details page, click the Measurements icon.
- Select Sample > New.
- Specify this information:
- Size Range
- A sample page is created for each size range that is selected in the master page.
This field shows the size range to which the sample page
corresponds.
You can create multiple sample measurements for each size range.
- Code
- Specify a code for the sample.
- Request Sub Type
- Select a request sub type from the list. Request sub types are a generic lookup type and can be defined in Generic Lookup.
- Approved / Rejected By
- Your name appears here when you select Approved or Rejected in the Status field.
- Notes
- Specify additional information for this sample
page.
Partner users cannot edit the value of this field.
- Sample Size
- Select a sample size from the list. The sample size enables you to revise your measurements.
- Status
- Select a status from the list.
If the status of a sample measurement is Rejected or Approved, the measurement values and their respective revisions are reflected back to the master page.
The Sync Approval Status to Linked Request enabled from Settings ensures that the approval status is consistently synchronized between linked pages.
Note: This setting is currently limited to a one-way process: from Style Measurements Sample to Request. Approving a request does not update the status of the linked sample. Additionally, this applies only to the ‘Approved’ status. You must manually update other status updates from the sample page of the request to stay in sync. - Approved Date
- This field displays the date when the Status is set to Approved or Rejected.
- Free Field 1
- The initial value of this field is the same as that of the Master page, but you may specify a different value for the sample page.
- Free Field 2
- The initial value of this field is the same as that of the Master page, but you may specify a different value for the sample page.
- Supplier
- Select a supplier from the list. The list contains the partners that are associated to the style record.
- Reason Code
- Select a reason code from the list.
This is a generic lookup (Sample Page Reason Code) and is defined at Generic Lookup.
See Generic lookup.
Partner users cannot edit the value of this field.
- Date Field 1
- Specify a date.
Only internal users can specify a value for this field.
Partner users cannot edit the value of this field.
- Iteration
- Displays the number of sample pages created per subtype of the style.
- Responsible User 1
- If available, select a user for this role.
- Responsible User 2
- If available, select a user for this role.
-
Select requested sample sizes. Available options depend on the size range that
you selected on the master page.
These columns are added in the measurements section:
- Sample
- Indicates the measurements for the selected sample size
- Supplier
- Indicates the supplier's measurements for the selected sample size
- Own
- Indicates your own measurements for the selected sample size
- Deviation
- Displays the difference between your measurements and that of the sample for the selected sample size
- Revised
- Enables you to revise the initial values of sample measurements
that you submitted to your supplier and reflect those revised values
back to the master page. The revised measurement values are then
displayed in the latest measure column on the master page.
You can still add more sample sizes and change your initially selected sample size.
- To assign images to your sample measurements, click Add Images.
-
Select an image.
- Click Add from local files to select an image from your local computer.
- Click Add from library to select an image from the document library of the application.
- Click Add.
- Click Save or Save and Close.
-
Optionally, when going down through the items under the sample page, click the
Enter or Return button.
To see your sample measurements reflected on the master page, the sample measurement page must be evaluated, that is, set to approved or rejected.
