Identifying partners
- From the menu, select Basics > Partner.
- Click New.
- Specify this information:
- Code
- Specify a code for the partner.
- Name
- Specify a name for the partner.
- Specify the partner's e-mail address.
- Main Contact
- Specify the name of the main contact person for this partner.
- Main Contact Email
- Specify the email address of the main contact person for this partner.
- Partner Type
- Select a partner type from the list. Partner types are a generic lookup type and can be defined in Generic Lookup.
- Internal/External
- Select Internal or External.
- Status
- Select a status.
- Address 1
- Specify the street address.
- Address 2
- Specify additional address information.
- Country
- Select a country.
- Region
- Select a region. Regions are a generic lookup type and can be defined in Generic Lookup.
- City
- Specify a city.
- Phone
- Provide the phone number of the partner.
- Fax
- Provide the fax number of the partner.
- Currency
- Select a currency from the list.
- Vendor Status
- Select a vendor status. Vendor statuses are a generic lookup type and can be defined in Generic Lookup.
- Last Inspection Date
- Specify the last inspection date for this partner.
- Delivery Method
- Select a delivery method. Delivery methods are a generic lookup type and can be defined in Generic Lookup.
- Delivery Terms
- Select a delivery term. Delivery terms are a generic lookup type and can be defined in Generic Lookup.
- Payment Terms
- Select a payment term. Payment terms are a generic lookup type and can be defined in Generic Lookup.
- Homepage
- Specify the partner's website.
- Buyer
- Select from the list.
- Language
- Select from the list.
- Date From
- Select a date from the calendar.
- Date To
- Select a date from the calendar.
- Notes
- Provide notes about this partner.
- User Defined Field 1
- Select from the list. User defined fields are generic lookup types and can be defined in Generic Lookup.
- User Defined Field 2
- Select from the list. User defined fields are generic lookup types and can be defined in Generic Lookup.
- User Defined Field 3
- Select from the list. User defined fields are generic lookup types and can be defined in Generic Lookup.
- Free Field 1
- Use this field to specify any other related details about your partner.
- Free Field 2
- Use this field to specify any other related details about your partner.
- Free Field 3
- Use this field to specify any other related details about your partner.
- Free Field 4
- Use this field to specify any other related details about your partner.
- Parent
- Select this check box to make this partner a parent to sub partners.
- Parent
- This field is automatically set to Yes if the partner has related sub partners. If this partner company is added as a sub partner to another partner company, this field displays the name of the parent company.
- Geocode

Select an applicable Geo-location code to assign to partner.
Note: A validation process confirms if the code is applicable or whether there is already an existing Request of specified code for a specific partner.
