Creating currencies

Create multiple currencies to identify equivalent prices for products in different currencies.

  1. From the menu, select Setup > Currency.
  2. Click New.
  3. Specify this information:
    Base Currency
    Select this check box to make this the base currency of the application. The base currency serves as the default currency across all functions of the application.
    Code
    Specify a currency code. The code must be unique. Two or more currencies cannot have the same code.
    Name
    Specify a currency name.
    Description
    Optionally, provide a description about the currency.
    Status
    Select a status.

    You cannot use a currency that is inactive for relative functions, such as calculating exchange rates.

    Symbol
    Specify the currency symbol.
  4. Click Save.
