Adding measurement values

After providing measurement details and adding points of measure, you must specify the values for tolerance, standard increment and initial measurement to determine measurements for each size.

  1. In the Summary section of the master page, specify this information for every point of measure:
    Tol +
Set the permissible value that a size can exceed the indicated measurement.
    Tol -
Set the permissible value that a size can go below the indicated measurement.
    Standard Increment
Specify a standard increment value that can be applied to all size columns on the selected lines except for the sample size column.
Note: You can only indicate a positive value in the Standard Increment column.
    Initial Measurement
Specify the initial measurement for the style. The value you provide will be applied to the sample size that you selected.

To indicate a negative value, specify a minus sign before the value.

    Latest Measurement
This field displays the revised values from approved sample pages. When available, these new values of the sample size will replace the initial measurement.
  2. In the Graded Increment section of the Master Page, provide measurement values or gradings for other sizes other than the sample size.

A graded increment pertains to a fixed amount that differentiates the measurements between sizes.

Note: If you add POMs from a grade rule that has gradings, the Graded Increment section will display values from that grade rule.

If you update the measurement values or gradings of multidimensional sizes, all other sizes with the same base or reference value will also be updated.

Optionally, you can copy and paste measurement values from one page to another.

  3. Click the Graded Measurement section to view the calculated measurements for each size.

If you delete a size in the Size tab of a style record, the size will be removed in the style, Graded Increment tab, and Graded Measurements tab. If you changed the status of a size to inactive, the size is grayed out in the Graded Increment and Graded Measurements tab.

  4. Click Save or Save and Close.
  5. Optionally, when going down through the items under the Summary, Graded Increment, and Graded Measurement lines, click the Enter or Return button. This action is also applicable on the Master Page and Sample Pages of Style Measurements.
