Exporting to an Excel file from details view

  1. Open a flex query view.
  2. Execute the query.
  3. You can export to Excel in several ways, depending on the number of items that you want to export.
    • To export a single line, right-click and select Export Query to Excel > Selected.
    • To export multiple entries:
      1. Click the Muti-Select icon and select the rows that you want to export.
Note: You can select multiple lines from multiple search results pages to include in the export.
      2. Right-click on a row and select Export Query to Excel > Selected.
    • To export the entire result set, right-click and select Export Query to Excel > All.

The entire result set is exported. For example, if the result set has five thousand lines and split into one hundred pages, all five thousand lines are exported to a single file.

The Excel file is automatically downloaded to your computer. If the file is large, you can resume working while the file is being downloaded.
Note: Do not refresh your browser window while the download has not yet started. The export task is discarded once you refresh your browser window.

In the future this task will be a background task, so that you can use the Task Monitor to check the progress of the export task.
