Sort document library items

The Sort By function is applicable in these conditions:

You can sort items for each document type.
Set sort by condition affects both list and card view.
The default sort by in Manage View is overridden by the custom set Sort by condition you set from the Doc Lib grid.
The setup is retained even when the library page is closed.
The setup is retained even when the library page or the browser is refreshed.
The setup is retained even when you switch from one document type to another.

Note: The IDM fields are not currently supported by the Sort By function.

From the menu, select Basics > Document Library.
Select a filter from Document Type.
Click Sort By.
Select the specific field on which the items are sorted by.
Select whether the sequence of the sorted items is in Ascending or Descending order.
