Line planning

Line plans serve as detailed roadmaps for a particular season, giving designers a clear framework within which to create a new line. A line plan item is generated from line plan headers. It serves as the basis for what styles need to be developed and for what markets, product categories, and delivery windows. A line plan item also serves as the beginning of assortment planning.

Line plans are generated in the Line Plan Header. The structure of the plan (in terms of the hierarchy) is based on the line plan settings. The Plan Number is generated based on the selected season plus an iterative number (that starts at 001).

Line plan lines show the details of one line plan, and include ten generic columns. These columns are editable and configurable. This is a system view, and you can customize based on this view. The column names in the system view cannot be edited, but you can edit column names in user views.

You can view the styles that are associated to a line plan, and export line plans and line plane lines to Excel.
