Creating mass style carryover

  1. Select Basics > Styles.
  2. Right-click on a style that you want to create a carryover of and select Mass Create Carryover.
You can select multiple styles to be carried over.

If you cannot see the Mass Create Carryover option, contact your administrator or see the Infor PLM for Fashion Administration Guide.

  3. Select the way the style number is defined:
    Option Description
Create a new Style with the same Style number Select this option to use the same style number for the carried over style.

The carried over style takes the style number of the source provided that the style number and season combination is unique.

Create a new Style with a new Style number Select this option to create a new style number for the carried over style.
  4. Specify this information:
    Season
Select a season for this style.

This field lists all available generic lookup values for the Season generic lookup type. If you select a value in the field, then the Season column in the Create Carryover of these Styles section is populated with the same value. You can still change the value of the Season column for each style in the said section.

If you selected Create a new Style with the same Style number, the Season list in the Create Carryover of these Styles section lists only unused season values for this style.

If you selected Create a new Style with a new Style number, the Season field in the Create Carryover of these Styles section lists all available generic lookup values for the Season generic lookup type.

    Info Cluster
Select tabs whose contents will be carried over. By default, all information clusters are selected. You can clear items that you do not need.

Click the Select/Unselect All Clusters icon to unselect all clusters, and select what clusters you want to copy. Click the same icon to select all clusters.

Note: If enabled in the settings, inactive colors are not copied.

Contact your administrator or see the Infor PLM for Fashion Administration Guide.

  5. In the Create Carryover of these Styles section, select styles that should be carried over.
If you create a mass carryover and no ID generator is set up for the Style module, the New Style Number column appears only if you selected Create a new Style with a new Style number. Since no ID generator is set up, you must specify a style number before the carryover styles can be created.

If an ID generator is set up and you selected Create a new Style with a new Style number, newly created carryover styles are given new style numbers based on the next available number in the series.

Carried over styles use the same name as the source (parent) style.

  6. If you need to add more styles to carryover, click the Add Styles icon and select styles from the Style Library.
  7. Click the Execute icon.
This icon is disabled while the task is running, to prevent creating duplicate style numbers. This icon is enabled when the task is done.

In the Miscellaneous Information section of the Overview tab for the carried over style, the Carryover check box is selected. This field is also shown as a column in the Styles list page, but administrators must add this column in custom layouts.

Use the Style Relations pane to view the relation between source style (parent) and carryover (child).
