Line planning

The line planning module enables merchandisers to set targets for product lines in terms of financials (retail value and planned total quantities) and product KPI’s such as number of options, number of styles, and number of carry-overs for this line. While you are developing the plan, you can right away see the actual developed styles and options (colorways), the value and quantities compared to the plan, and then also drill in deeper to see the actual products. In this way, you get a line plan that is a better fit for the market. The line plan module can replace, for example, disconnected spreadsheet processes by consolidating all information in one place. It streamlines the planning and design processes and reduces the chances of errors that outdated planning information introduce.

Line planning introduces these features:
  • Ability to generate line plan lines for 1-6 levels of the product hierarchy

  • Ability to configure the line plan columns, for instance, the planned number of options, actual number of options, notes field, and others. You can erase the actual numbers based on certain statuses of the product, so they are included in accumulations

  • Columns with predefined content such as number of styles, number of options, total retail value

  • Ability to show per line quickly the styles included in a contextual pane aside of the line plan

  • Drill down to styles in different views (list, card, style color)
