Document library images and attachments
In Infor PLM for Fashion, you can upload images and attachments, and generate reports. Images and attachments are uploaded (dragged or dropped) from a local folder or from the PLM for Fashion document library (reuse of a document or image). The uploaded documents are integrated and stored in the background in Infor Document Management (IDM). In PLM you will see the “thumbnail” of the Documents and images and some attributes specific to this document. These attributes are unique to PLM or to IDM. IDM itself is used more broadly and then for PLM, see Technology.
-
Several file extension types are supported. See the Infor PLM for Fashion User Guide for the list. You may expect typical Microsoft Office extensions for documents, and different extensions for drawings, images, sketches are supported. Images and attachments that are less than 50 MB are displayed as thumbnails; beyond that size, no thumbnails are displayed.
-
It is an option to prevent uploading of files with the same file names. If you choose to allow uploading of files with the same file names, you need to define how the document names are created.
-
The Document Library shows all uploaded images and attachments as thumbnails. Opening the thumbnail opens the original file.
-
Special IDM document types are applied for PLM for Fashion

To all document types in IDM, you can always add more attributes and extended fields that we can see in PLM but they are not editable.
