Working with Partners and Partner Users using External Entity Management

The External Entity Management, or EEM, is an extension of Infor OS IFS/User Management that enables you to manage the administration of Infor application users. In IPLMF application, EEM enables the partners and partner users to access the IPLMF system and also determines the users that are currently in the system.

External Entities is certified with Infor OS Portal. External Entity Management provides you with the ability to administer external users for Infor OS. External users are those users who are outside your business organization yet who must have access to controlled confidential information.

The enabled partners and partner users can also use the External Entity Management to set up their roles and permissions to have more security when accessing the application data.

Widgets in the IPLMF homepage are accessible for partner users to view their notifications and comments. Additionally, the partner users can also access various items through the notification and comments widget.

For any concerns, contact the Cloud Operations or the PLM for Fashion system administrators for the setup of EEM for existing customers.

Note: When working with External Entities, it is recommended to use Infor OS Portal in Finalized Mode.

If you are working with Infor OS Portal in Trial Mode, you must provide the Partner Users with the correct URL format. You must have the correct format to work with the Infor PLM for Fashion application and to avoid log-in issues.
