Creating notification settings

  1. From the menu, select Setup > Notifications.
  2. Optionally, to refresh the notification page items, click Refresh (Alt + R).
  3. On the Notifications page, click New (Alt + N).
  4. Specify this information:
    Name
    Specify a name for the setting.
    User Groups
    Select the user groups where this notification setting shall apply.
    Active
    Select this check box to make this setting active.
  5. Select entities, specify actions that trigger event notifications and type of notifications.
    1. Expand an entity/sub-entity to view actions.
    2. Select a notification type (alert, email, widget).
    3. Specify whether to send notification to specific users (Ownership, Responsible, Created By, or Partner).
      Note: The Ownership, Responsible, Created By, or Partner settings only apply for Style, Material, Trim, or Request entities.

      If you select to assign notifications based on Ownership, Responsible, Created By, or Partner, the selected User Groups is bypassed. Only selected recipients will get the notifications

    You can set up notifications for comments in style, material, trim, or request, per tab details. Notifications are sent for all activities for a comment (create, update, and delete) through the specified type of notification.

  6. Optionally, click the All list to filter entities for display.
  7. Click Save (Alt + S) or Save and Close (Alt + V).
