Create a personalized listing page view

After defining basic view information, use these steps to define a listing page view.

  1. Select List Page Properties.
  2. Specify this information:
    Sort By
    Select the field to serve as the basis for sorting.
    Sort Direction
    Specify the sorting order.
  3. Select Available Fields.
  4. Specify this information:
    Main

    Drag and drop available fields from the pane to the page canvass.

    Note: The initial number of records that you can list is set to 50.
    Sub Entity
    Optionally select a sub entity to display in the details page.
  5. To personalize field properties, select a field that you added to the page.
    The Control Properties section displays available personalization options for the selected field.
  6. Specify this information:
    Entity
    This field displays the entity that serves as the data context for this control.
    Binding Field
    Select the binding field that connects the control to a specific database column. For example, if the control pertains to the Code field, select Code as the binding field to connect the control to that database column.
    Label
    Specify a label for the control. The label is the name that is displayed for users.
    Max Length
    Specify the maximum number of characters to enable for specific text fields.

    For Number and Name fields, the maximum limit must be the same with your active Name Generator Setup.

    Note: You can configure some of the fields in Max Length. See Fields enabled for Max Length Field configuration.
    Read Only
    Select this check box to set the control as read only.
    Visible
    Select this check box to set the control as viewable and editable.
    Resizable Column
    Select this check box to enable the column resizing options for a control.
    Note: Fields that are described here pertain to basic options. Other fields can be available depending on the selected control.
  7. Optionally, to move to previous or next field, click the left or right arrow button.
  8. Optionally, to delete a field, select the specific field and click REMOVE.
  9. Click Save.
