Customize list layout in card view

You can toggle the document library list layout between list and card view.

When in card view, the standard card layout contains these fields:
  • Filename

    This field is mandatory and set by default.

  • Created By
  • Internal ID
  • MIME Type
  • Name

The fields that you can add in a card depends on the selected fields from the list view layout.

In the card view layout, you may choose up to 5 fields to show in a card. You can arrange and configure the fields, as well as customize the card view for each document type.

  1. In the document library list view, click the Card View icon.
    The upper part section of the card shows the image while the bottom part shows the field values.
  2. To customize the fields on the entry's card details, in the Available Fields, drag the fields from the Main section and drop them to the fields list.
    You can choose up to 5 fields to show in a card. The fields that you can add depend on the selected fields in the list view layout.
  3. Optionally, add the Like attribute on the card view layout.
    You can add the Like attribute provided that you have added this attribute to the fields under list view.
  4. Specify the sort arrangement:
    Sort By
    Select the field to serve as the basis for sorting.
    Sort Direction
    Specify the sorting order.
    Note: The sort condition in the list page properties affects both the list and card view.
  5. To configure the arrangement of fields, click the specific field.
  6. In the Control Properties section, click from the Move Up and Move Down buttons.
  7. Optionally, to remove fields, select a field, then click Remove.
  8. Click Save and Close (Alt + V).
