Configuring IDM settings

The main storage of documents and images for Adobe Illustrator plugin and PLM for Fashion is IDM. Setting the IDM enables you to select and synchronize custom document types and other files to use in the IPLMF application.

To manage which document types for each role are applicable to view and save documents, set up the Role permissions for Document Library.

These document types are excluded from the selection given these are already system defined:
  • FPLM Document
  • FPLM Color
  • FPLM Reports
  • FPLM Report Template
  1. Select Setup > Settings.
  2. From the list of tool icons, select IDM.
  3. Specify this information:
    Reports
Specify the number of days to keep the generated reports.
    Filename Settings

Select the filename settings. Additionally, specify the sequence of the labels for filenames: Module, Name, Number, and Tab.

    Filename option Description
Do not upload files with duplicate filenames Files that have duplicate file names are not uploaded.
Enable use of filename generator for duplicate filenames Filenames of duplicate files are renamed based on the sequence of labels that you set. The generated file name contains the module, tab, number, and name.

If you select this option, assign a sequence number to a label to control the sequence of labels in the generated file name.

For example, if you set 1 to Module, 2 to Tab, 3 to Number, and 4 to Name, a generated file name can be Style_Care_ST001_Name.jpg.

    IDM Document Types

    Select the document types.

Note: You can set a maximum of 10 document types.
  4. Click Save.
