Notifications

Notifications in PLM for Fashion are based on event-driven messaging. Specific actions made in the application are registered as events in the IFPLM Notification Service engine. When an event is registered in the Notification Service engine, subscribed users are fetched based on notification settings. A notification message is then created in the repository, subscribed users are informed, and the notification message is displayed in the notification counter.

Notifications can be sent to identified owner, creator, responsible, or partner for specific entities. You use the Ownership, Responsible, or Created By fields to associate users to styles, materials, trims, or requests.

Ownership is composed of different fields for each module:

Created By and Responsible are exact field names that are used in styles, materials, trims, and requests. The Partner field in the notification settings refers to partner users that are associated to styles, materials, or trims. Requests have specific suppliers associated with it.
