Document type setup in document library page

Conditions are applied when selecting a Document Type in the Document Library toolbar.

  • Options that are displayed in the Document Type drop-down list are based on the selected document types configured for the Document Library. The document type setup is done under the IDM configurations.
  • The role permissions and layout customizations for each document types are set up under the Document Library role and view management.
  • When uploading new documents from your local storage, it is saved according to the selected Document Type.​
  • If no document type is selected and the ADD or CLOSE buttons are clicked, then a validation is informed to the user that a document type is required to continue the process.
