Assigning colorways to a trim

Colorways pertain to colors that are used to create a style, material, or trim. In the application, colorways can be defined in three ways:

  • As colors, to be used in styles, materials, and trims that only contain a single color
  • As combination colors, to be used in styles, materials, and trims that use two or more colors
  • As print, to be used in styles, materials, and trims that use single and combination colors

Use these steps to assign colorways to a trim:

  1. On the trim details page, click the Colorways icon.
  2. Click the Add Colors icon.
  3. Select colors.
    • Click the Color Picker
    • Click the Color Library icon to select colors from the Color library.
    • You can also search for particular colors to add to the trim colorway.

  4. Click ADD. Click ADD AND CLOSE to add the selected colors and close the pane.
  5. Optionally, to add more colors to a color that you have added to the material, select a color and click the Add Color Content icon.
    1. Select colors.
      • Click the Color Picker icon to select colors from the Color Picker.
      • Click the Color Library icon to select colors from the Color library.
    2. Click ADD. Click ADD AND CLOSE to add the selected colors and close the pane.
  6. Optionally, select a color that you have added to the material and click the Add Images icon.
    1. Select an image.
      • Click Add from local files to select an image from your local computer.
      • Click Add from library to select an image from the document library of the application.
    2. Click ADD AND CLOSE.
  7. Optionally, to set a colorway as the main color, select a colorway and click the cell before the Color Content column.

    A main color is used as the default color in requests.

    A check mark to indicate that the colorway is a main color is displayed.
  8. Click Save.
