Defining yarn construction of a material

Yarn consists of several strands of material twisted together. Each strand is made of fibers, all shorter than the piece of yarn that they form. These short fibers are spun into longer filaments to make the yarn.

You can define how the yarns of a material are constructed in the application by specifying spun and filament information.

  1. On the construction page of a material record, click Yarn.
Alternatively, from Material Overview tab, click the Go to Construction - Yarn icon.
Note: This button only appears if your role has the View permission for the Material Construction tab.
