Creating advanced filters

  1. From the Grid or List view, click the Advanced Filter icon.
  2. In the Details section of the Advanced Filter screen, click the Add New Row icon.
  3. Click the new row.
  4. In the Details section, specify this information:
    Name
Specify a name for the filter.
    Active
Select to make this filter active.

You can set several filters as active. When you have multiple active filters, the application applies them by the order you set these filters as active.

For example, you have four filters F1, F2, F3, and F4, and you set F2 as active first, then F1, and lastly F4. So when you do a search using these active filters, the application applies F2, then F1, and finally F4.

  5. You define the search criteria in the Criteria section.
  6. In the Criteria section, select in the list how the rules are to be applied, whether all or any of the rules are applied.
  7. To add a criteria, click the Add New Row icon.
  8. Specify this information:
    Search Field
Select a field to be searched on. The values in this list depend on the screen where you clicked Advanced Filter.
    Condition
Select a condition from the list.

When you select a date field as Search Field, these search conditions become available.

Note: These conditions are available at the Request module for now.
    Search condition Description
Equal to today If you select this condition, then the search value field is automatically populated with the word “Today” and the field becomes read-only. When you run the query, it searches for all records where the date field is equal to today’s date. Current date is dynamic so the query automatically adjusts everyday based on the current date.
Equal to previous days If you select this condition, then the query will search for all records where the date field is equal to dates in the past. You must specify in the search value field the number of days in the past the query must retrieve. For example, if today’s date is equal to December 25 and the search value field is equal to 2, then all records where the date field is equal to December 24 and 23 are displayed in the grid. The current date is dynamic so the query automatically adjusts everyday based on the current date.
Note:  The search value field only accepts whole numbers. Zeroes, negative, and decimals are not allowed. Maximum value can be entered is 999. Saturdays and Sundays are included.
Equal to upcoming days If you select this condition, then the query will search for all records where the date field is equal to dates in the future. You must enter in the search value field the number of days in the future the query must retrieve. For example, if today’s date is equal to December 25 and the search value field is equal to 2, then all records where the date field is equal to December 26 and 27 are displayed in the grid. The current date is dynamic so the query automatically adjusts everyday based on the current date.
Note:  The search value field only accepts whole numbers. Zeroes, negative, and decimals are not allowed. Maximum value can be entered is 999. Saturdays and Sundays are included.
Note: You can combine all conditions in one filter by selecting the Match Any criteria.
    Search Value
Select a value from the list. The values in this list depend on what you have selected in Search Field.

You can add multiple criteria by clicking Add New Row and specifying criteria rules.
