Set roles to the added partner user

When a partner user has been added, it is a requirement to specify and sync that added user's role.

This is a step required after manually adding Partner Users in an External Entity.

  1. From your account access rights, select External Entity Management.
  2. In the External Entities menu, select the corresponding external entity which includes the added user.
  3. Select Users and click the added user.
  4. Select the Security Roles and click the Add icon.
  5. In the Select Security Roles dialog box, browse and select at least two roles.
    Note: The minimum requirement for user roles is two, which consists of a partner role and a user role. Two roles must be added to the partner user to qualify in logging in with the IPLMF application.
  6. Create Partner Users.
    Partner Users will be created as Users (External Entity Users) under each External Entity. You must assign at a minimum these parameters:
    • One IPLMF role - EEU-FASHIONPLM-Partner-Administrator or EEUFASHIONPLM-Partner-User

    • (Mandatory) EEU-Portal-SuiteUser

    • (Optional) EEU-IFS-Self-Management-Admin

    Once the Partner user is added in EEM, it will generate a user in PLM for Fashion > Admin > Manage Users
    • Default schema as per Set up in Set Up > Settings

    • Default role FPLM_Partner or FPLM_Partner_Admin depending on what is selected

    • Manual to add if needed – more or other roles and user group

  7. To complete the added roles, select Admin > Manage Users.
  8. From the Users tab, click the Sync icon and browse for the name of the added user.
  9. Verify that the Roles column of the added user contains the assigned roles.
