Case count
The Case Count is a metric that calculates the number of cases based on the specified configurations.
These are the options on which the count can be based:
- Process flow: The case count is calculated on a defined process flow.
- Event: The case count is calculated on the defined events.
- Attribute: The case count is calculated on the defined attributes.
This table gives an overview of the configuration options for an event level metric type Case Count:

| Process Flow | Event | Select an event from the list to set it as the first event of the flow. The list is populated with events that are loaded into the database. |
| Process Flow | Condition | Select a condition to connect the selected first and last event. These conditions are available:
Click the icon to add another condition and event to build more complex flows. Click the icon to remove a condition and related event from the list. |

| Event | Condition includes Event | Select one or more events from the list to include them in the calculation. The list is populated with events that are loaded into the database. |
