Case count

The Case Count is a metric that calculates the number of cases based on the specified configurations.

These are the options on which the count can be based:

  • Process flow: The case count is calculated on a defined process flow.
  • Event: The case count is calculated on the defined events.
  • Attribute: The case count is calculated on the defined attributes.

This table gives an overview of the configuration options for an event level metric type Case Count:

Count option Field Description
Process Flow Event Select an event from the list to set it as the first event of the flow. The list is populated with events that are loaded into the database.
Process Flow Condition Select a condition to connect the selected first and last event. These conditions are available:
  • Is directly followed by
  • Is not directly followed by
  • Is not eventually followed by
  • Is eventually followed by

Click the + icon to add another condition and event to build more complex flows. Click the x icon to remove a condition and related event from the list.

Process Flow Event Select an event from the list to set it as the last event of the flow. The list is populated with events that are loaded into the database.
Event Condition includes Event Select one or more events from the list to include them in the calculation. The list is populated with events that are loaded into the database.
Event Condition excludes Event Select one or more events from the list to exclude them from the calculation. The list is populated with events that are loaded into the database.
Attribute Attribute Select an attribute from the list to populate the value field with its values. The list is populated with attributes that are loaded into the database.
Attribute Condition Select a condition to be applied to the selected attribute. These conditions are available:
  • Equals
  • Not equals
Attribute Value Select one or more values to include in the calculation.
