Selecting a diagram link version

When you create a diagram link to locked IPC content, you can select a specific version of the target diagram:

  1. Select an element in the Process Map Designer or BPMN Modeler and click the + button in the Diagram Links attribute panel.
    The Select Diagram Link dialog box is opened. The dialog box contains three columns: Folder Tree (left), Diagram List (middle), and Select Version (right).
  2. In the Folder Tree column, select a locked IPC folder.
  3. In the Diagram List column, select the required diagram.
    The Select Version column displays all available versions as cards. Each version card shows:
    • Version number
    • Status symbol
    • Author and time stamp
    • Expandable Version Comments section showing the approval text
    • Expandable Diagram Preview section showing the image of the selected version
    • Links to label:
      • If no version card is selected, it displays Links to: Latest Version.
      • If you select a specific version card, it displays Links to: Selected version with the version number.
  4. Click a version card to select it.
  5. Optionally, to deselect a version card, click it again.
    The diagram link automatically reverts to the latest version of the diagram.
  6. Click Apply to confirm the link.
  7. Optionally, click Cancel to close the dialog without changes.

    By default, if you select a diagram and click Apply, the diagram links to the latest version automatically without requiring a version card selection.

    When you link to unlocked content, the Select Version column is disabled. The link always points to the latest version of the diagram.

    Note: Version selection is available only when you link to locked IPC content. When you link to unlocked content, the Select Version column is disabled and the link always points to the latest version of the diagram.
