GenAI Chat Assistant for BPMN Modeling

You can create and edit BPMN diagrams by using the Infor GenAI Assistant in natural language.

The assistant identifies the model or folder that you are viewing. The assistant can create new diagrams, modify existing diagrams, undo previous changes, and approve models on your behalf.

Prerequisites

These are the prerequisites before using GenAI Chat Assistant:
  • You must have the IPI-ModelerDesigner or IPI-ModelerAdmin role.
  • Infor GenAI must be enabled for the tenant.
An administrator must import the Process Intelligence focus mode and the process modeling agents in the Infor GenAI portal. Until this import is complete, the assistant cannot create or edit BPMN diagrams. For more details, see the Infor Process Intelligence Administration Guide.

Using Infor GenAI Chat Assistant

To open the assistant, click the Infor GenAI Chat Assistant icon in the Infor OS Portal header.

The assistant panel opens on the right side of the screen. Type prompts and receive responses in the assistant panel. Your active screen remains visible on the left side of the screen.

Supported operations:

  • Create a BPMN diagram in a specified folder.
  • Edit element attributes: Name, Background color, Border color.
  • Undo previous AI-made changes.
  • Approve a draft model (with optional version comment).
  • Create a draft version from an approved model.
  • Browse folder contents.

If the model is Approved and you request an edit, a new Draft version is created before the change is applied.

After any operation, the canvas refreshes within a few seconds. A manual page reload isn't required.

You cannot create models in the root folder.

If you don't specify a folder, the assistant lists the available folders.

Approval requires an explicit prompt. The assistant doesn't approve models automatically.

When you start a new conversation, the undo history is cleared.
