AI-generated Analysis

AI-generated insight pages are read-only pages in an insight. The pages display content that GenAI generates from configured prompt chains. The GenAI service runs the prompts in sequence.

AI-generated pages appear in the page tab list with standard pages. An AI indicator icon identifies each AI-generated page. You can view the generated content, but you cannot edit the content directly.

Prerequisites

These conditions must be met:

  • GenAI is enabled for the tenant. Both GenAIAssistant and GenAIRecommendations settings must be active.
  • Data is loaded for the insight.
  • At least one AI-generated page definition is enabled and contains configured prompts.

When GenAI is disabled, AI-generated pages are hidden. The AI-generated page configuration interface is not available.

Behavior for Infor-provisioned insights

  • Infor provisions AI-generated page definitions and keeps the definitions enabled.
  • You cannot access AI-generated page configuration for Infor insights.
  • AI-generated pages regenerate automatically after each data load.
  • To regenerate an AI-generated page manually, in Insights Designer, select the page tab and click the refresh icon. The icon is available in both Edit Insight mode and View Insight mode.

Behavior for custom insights

To manage AI-generated page definitions, in the header, click Generate, and then select Manage Recommendations. The Generate Insight Pages panel is displayed.

AI-generated pages regenerate automatically in these situations:

  • After a data load.
  • After you save configuration changes.
  • After you enable a page definition.
  • After you change the object selection and confirm the change.

To regenerate an AI-generated page manually, in Insights Designer, select the page tab and click the refresh icon. The icon is available in both Edit Insight mode and View Insight mode.

When you duplicate an Infor insight to a custom insight, the program copies all AI-generated page definitions. The copied definitions become customer-owned. You can edit, add, or delete page definitions in the custom insight.

View AI-generated pages

AI-generated pages appear in the page tab list when all of these conditions are met:

  • Data is loaded for the insight.
  • The page definition is enabled.
  • GenAI is enabled.

If data is not loaded, or if data loading fails, AI-generated pages are hidden from the page list.

To view an AI-generated page, click the page tab. The page displays generated content in read-only mode. You cannot add widgets, apply filters, or edit the page layout.

AI-generated pages are excluded from Insight Summary generation and Page Summary generation.

Page statuses

This tables shows the possible page statuses:
Status Description
Content is being generated Displayed when content is being generated, automatically on first load (after import or provisioning, when no cached content exists), or during a manual or automatic regeneration. Other pages remain available during generation.
Database is resuming Displayed while the database resumes. Generation continues after the database becomes ready.
Error Displayed after generation fails all retries. A Retry action is available.

Reorder AI-generated pages

In Edit Insight mode, you can drag AI-generated page tabs to a new position in the page list. The new order is saved with the insight.

Manually regenerating an AI-generated page

Users with edit permissions (Infor-SystemAdministrator, IPI-MiningAdmin, IPI-MiningInsightsDesigner) can manually regenerate an AI-generated page.

  1. Open the insight in Edit Insight mode.
  2. Click the Refresh icon next to an AI page tab to regenerate the page for the current data context.

The page displays a loading indicator while generation is in progress. The Refresh icon is not available until generation is completed.

Note: 

The Refresh icon is not displayed in View Insight mode or for users with viewer permissions.

For Infor-provisioned insights, the Refresh icon is displayed in View Insight mode in Insights Designer for users with edit permissions.

Automatic regeneration of an AI-generated page

AI-generated pages regenerate automatically in these situations:

  • After a successful data load.
  • When you save a page definition configuration with changes for enabled definitions.
  • When you enable a page definition.
  • When the object selection changes and you confirm regeneration.

Object selection changes

When you change and save the object selection for a custom insight, and enable recommendations for the insight, and AI-generated page definitions are enabled for the insight, a confirmation dialog box is displayed. Select one of these options in the dialog box:
  • Confirm: the system regenerates all enabled AI-generated pages for the new data context.
  • Decline: the system saves the object selection without regeneration. The existing AI-generated page content remains and may not match the new selection. To regenerate the page later, click the Refresh icon.
