Process Modeling APIs

The Process Modeling APIs provide secure, role-based access to business process models in Infor Process Intelligence. The APIs support integration with applications, advanced search operations, and direct navigation to business process models.

Modeling API

Endpoint:

/PROCESSINTELLIGENCE/modeling/v1

Description:

The Modeling API provides methods that access and manage business process models and related documentation. The Modeling APIs support model searches, model detail retrieval, and integration with applications such as the Gen AI Assistant.

Available methods

  • GET /modeling/ionapi/v1/version

    Returns product and application version information.

  • POST /modeling/ionapi/v1/processmodels/search

    Returns a paginated list that includes ProcessSummary objects for matching process models.

    • Supports filtering and pagination.
    • Returns navigation links that open models in Infor Process Intelligence.
  • POST /modeling/ionapi/v1/registryentrie/search

    Returns a paginated list that includes RegistrySummary objects for matching registry entries.

    • Supports filtering and pagination.

Modeling MCP API

Endpoint:

/PROCESSINTELLIGENCE/modeling/v1/mcp

Description:

The Modeling MCP API enables the Infor GenAI platform to interact with process models programmatically through AI agents.

The MCP server provides tools that GenAI agents use to browse folder structures, retrieve BPMN model content, create BPMN models, and update existing BPMN models. The Infor GenAI platform discovers the MCP server automatically. No manual tenant configuration is required to make the tools available to GenAI agents.

These tools are available:

  • folder_overview: Retrieves detailed information about a folder and its contents.
  • service_overview: Retrieves an overview of the Process Modeler service and backend status.
  • get_models_in_folder: Retrieves all BPMN process models and their XML content from a folder.
  • create_model: Creates a BPMN process model in a folder.
  • update_model: Saves a modified BPMN process model to the backend.
  • update_models_bulk: Saves multiple modified BPMN process models in a single request.
  • apply_patches: Applies find-and-replace patches to BPMN XML content on the server.

Access requires the IPI-ModelerDesigner role or the IPI-ModelerAdmin role.
