Complete Cases

On the Load Type tab, use the Load only complete cases switch to select whether only complete cases are loaded for the process.

A case is considered complete if each required event you select occurs at least once within the selected date range. Cases that are missing any required event within the date range are excluded from the data load and are not used in analysis.

When Load only complete cases is:
  • Disabled (default)

All cases that contain at least one event in the selected date range are loaded.

  • Enabled

    You can configure the Events:

    • List of all events that are defined for the process is displayed.
    • Select between 2 and 10 events that must be present within the date range for a case to be considered complete.
    • You can use the Search events field to narrow down the list.
    • Click Select all to select all the events on the list.
    • Click Clear to clear the Search events field.
    • Events is only available when Load only complete cases is enabled.
Note:

If you disable Load only complete cases, the Events list is not available. If you enable it again before you save the changes, the previously selected events are still selected.

When you reopen the Process Data Configuration, the previously saved Complete Cases settings and event selection are restored. This configuration is then used for all subsequent data loads for this process until you change it.

If Load only complete cases is enabled, you must select at least two events before you can save.
