Generate Insight Summary

The Insight Summary feature provides an overview of all the data within an Insight, with the these limitations and behaviors:

  • By default, the summary includes up to 20 pages. If an Insight contains more than 20 pages, only the first 20 are included initially. To summarize additional pages, use the menu in the Process Summary panel to select the desired pages, then click Refresh. The generated summary and the selection is not retained if the panel is closed.
  • A summary is automatically generated after each data load and saved as the default summary for all existing Insights. For Insights added after the data load, or if the summary generation fails during data load, the Insight summary is generated the first time Process Summary on the application header is clicked and is then saved as the default.
  • If one or more filters are applied at any level, clicking Process Summary on the application header always generates a new Insight summary, still subject to the 20 page limit, regardless of whether a default summary already exists.

To generate a summary for an Insight:

  1. Click Process Summary on the application header.
  2. A side panel opens and a summary is displayed. The summary highlights key insights from the data. This helps you to grasp the most important process details quickly.
  3. Click Refresh to generate a new summary.
  4. Use the list to select the pages to include in the summary generation and then click Refresh to generate a new summary for the selected pages.
  5. Click Close to close the panel.
