Category types
This table gives an overview of supported category types:

| Activity | Actions performed within processes. An activity is described by a title and a description and can be reused in several business processes. Use subcategories to group activities for different purposes. | Textual information with title, rich text description, and the possibility to add several translations. |
| Event | An occurrence that can trigger a process. Entries from event categories are usually associated with the start, intermediate, or end event elements from BPMN Models. | Textual information with title, rich text description, and the possibility to add several translations. |
| Image Library | A collection of images that can be used in Process Maps and BPMN Model - IT System elements. To add entries for this category type, see Images. | Image of type PNG or SVG. |
| Organization | Organizational entities that can be used to describe organization units or departments, organizational roles, or external entities. | Textual information with title, rich text description, and the possibility to add several translations. |
| Others | Use this type for categories that have a generic purpose. Subcategories of Others main category type can have any other type, except the Image Library type. | Textual information with title, rich text description, and the possibility to add several translations. |
Note: Other category types such as Document, Goal, IT System, Requirement, Risk, and Control are available in the user interface to support migrated data. These category types may be removed later.
