Assisted modeling

On the Assisted Modeling page, you can define mappings between main folder names and subcategory names as a central configuration. This mapping supports the assisted modeling feature for selecting registry entries when creating process models. It also serves as input for the registry reorganization tool.

Defining mapping for assisted modeling

  1. To view all main folders that are not locked, go to the Assisted Modeling.
  2. In the Folder Name column, find the folder for or which you want to define a mapping.
  3. In the Subcategory Name column, enter a category name to be used for storing registry entries used by content in this folder. You cannot use pre-existing categories that are locked.

A confirmation message is displayed to inform you that the new subcategories are added to the predefined registry structure.

Note:

The predefined registry structure serves as the designated path for saving registry entries used by new process models from the folders with a mapping. To move existing folder contents, run the Reorganize registry entries wizard in Registry Tools.

Subcategories that are removed from the mapping are not deleted, as they may contain data that needs to be reorganized.

The assisted modeling mapping is included in an import and export of the folder contents.

Categories used in the assisted modeling mapping are protected from being deleted, even if they are empty.
