Variant Explorer

The Variant Explorer widget is an advanced analytical tool designed to visualize and analyze different variations of a process or workflow. It helps identify, compare, and understand the various paths and sequences that processes can take, highlighting deviations and commonalities among them.

On the widget, you can use the icons on the toolbar for several actions.

This table gives an overview of the icons and their corresponding actions:

Action Icon Description
Delete Delete Remove the widget from the canvas. By removing a widget from the canvas, you also remove its configurations.
Filter Filter Filter the data in the widget. See Filter data in an insight on how to configure a filter.
Configure Configure Open the Settings tab in the right side panel.
Move Move Move the widget by dragging and dropping it on the canvas.

This table gives an overview of all the configuration fields in the Settings tab:

Field Description
Generate BPMN Flow Create a BPMN model from selected variants. To save the model:
  1. Click Generate BPMN Flow.
  2. In the dialog box, view the BPMN model.
  3. Click Save to proceed.
  4. In the dialog box, specify this information:

    Name

    The name of the BPMN model

    Folder

    The Process Modeler folder where the new generated BPMN model is to be saved.

  5. Click Save to save the model. To open the saved model, you can click the link displayed in the toast message, or you can navigate to the folder in Process Modeler.
