Relation mapping

The objects are related with each other, and it is necessary to establish connections between them so that the application can connect events from different objects into cases. The objects might have a parent-child relationship or be just referenced. For Infor-provisioned content, the relationships are predefined and cannot be changed; however, it is important to set up correct relationships between custom objects.

The Relation Mapping page is available under the Process Overview page as a separate tab next to the Processes tab.

The Relation Mapping page contains the list of Infor-provisioned objects according to the held license as well as any created custom objects. The default sorting by name is in ascending alphabetical order.

The list of objects is displayed in a table. The table has these columns:

Column name Column description
Mapped This column is used to the display the status of the mapping.
Object name This column is used to display the name of the object to be mapped.
Parent object name This column displays the mapped parent object name.
Parent column name This column displays the mapped parent column name.
Object references This column displays the list of mapped reference object names.
Reference column name This column displays the list of mapped reference column names.

On the relation mapping table, you can use the icons in the table for several actions.

This table gives an overview of the icons and their corresponding actions:

Search N/A Search for text contained in the name of a column. By searching, you are applying a filter to the column in the table. The search term is visible in a search box. You can remove a search term by deleting the search term.
Filter Filter columns are based on criteria selected from the drop-down list in combination with the search box. You can clear the filter by deleting the search term.
