Objects Overview

To understand the concept of an object, it is helpful to perceive it as a table in the database, used by applications to store transactional data. For instance, one table may contain customer information, while another table is dedicated to storing records pertaining to customer orders. In the case of the object being a line item (for example: Requisition Line, Purchase Order Line) a parent reference is added as well, which points to the parent object (for example, for Requisition Line: Requisition). In the Process mining, each event applies to an object.

These are the types of objects in Process Mining:

  • Infor-provisioned objects – an object that is provisioned and that cannot be modified.
  • Extension objects - an extension object is an object that is related to a parent Infor object through a parent-child relationship. The purpose of an extension object is to extend the Infor content to define more attributes and events to that Infor-provisioned object.
  • Custom objects – an object that is entirely created and edited by the user.

The Objects Overview page contains the list of Infor-provisioned objects according to the held license as well as any created extensions of Infor-provisioned objects or custom objects.

The objects are shown in a list in the left panel. The default sorting is by creation date, newest first.

Each item of the list displays this information:

  • Object name
  • Number of events
  • Number of attributes
  • Creation user or the name of the user who last edited the object
  • Creation date or the date when the object was last edited
