The Settings tab for the Single Metric widget can be slightly different for each type of selected data to display.

This table gives an overview of all the configuration fields in the Settings tab:

Field Description
Name Type a mandatory name for the widget. The default name is Single Metric.
Data to Display Select the data from the drop-down to display in the widget. These are the types of data available for selection:
  • Process Metrics – the list is populated with the default metrics calculated for data that are loaded into the database
    • Case Count
    • Case Cycle Time
    • Event Count
    • Variant Count
  • Event Level Metrics – the list is populated with the configured event level metrics.
  • Attributes – the list is populated with attributes that are loaded into the database.
Aggregation Select the aggregation to apply to the selected data to display. These options are available:

Format

Prefix/Suffix

Define a prefix or suffix for the data. You can define up to five characters per each type. The default is empty.
Format

Localize value

Use the switcher to set a thousand-separator for larger numbers. The separator that is used is the dot . or the comma , based on localization. The switcher is set to on by default.
Format

Precision

Define the number of digits after the be the dot . or the comma (based on localization). The field only accepts integer numbers from 0 to 9. The default is set to 2.
Format

Display as percentage

Use the switcher to display the number as a percentage. When the switcher is set to on, the value is multiplied by 100, and a % symbol is added at the end of the value. The switcher is set to off by default.

This switcher can be set to on only if the Abbreviate long values switcher is set to off and vice versa.

Format

Abbreviate long values

Use the switcher to abbreviate long values as follows:
  • If the value has 4-6 digits, the last 3 digits are removed, rounding is applied, and a “K” is added at the end of the value.
  • If the value has 7-9 digits, the last 3 digits are removed, rounding is applied, and a “M” is added at the end of the value.
  • If the value has more than 9 digits, the last 3 digits are removed, rounding is applied, and a “B” is added at the end of the value.

This switcher can be set to on only if the Display as percentage switcher is set to off and vice versa.

Threshold

No of Regions

Select the number of regions for the threshold. These options are available:
  • none – do not set any threshold region
  • 2 – set two threshold regions
  • 3 – set three threshold regions
Threshold

Swap color

Swap the color of the regions.
Threshold

Goal

Set a goal for the metric.
Threshold

Industry Benchmark

The industry benchmark value is a static value displayed on the Line and Area charts as a line.

This configuration is only available when Data to Display is:

  • Process Metrics - Case Cycle Time
  • Event Level Metrics type Cycle Time

To select a value:

  1. Click the edit icon.
  2. In the dialog box, select a process from the list. To search for text contained in the name of a column, type a search term in the search box. By searching, you are applying a filter to the list of objects in the left panel. You can remove a search term by clicking the close icon on the search box.
  3. Click Save to save the configuration. The added value is displayed in the box.
Threshold

Threshold Input

This configuration is displayed only when the No of regions is set to 2.
Threshold

Threshold 1

Define the greater or equal to value for the threshold region.

This configuration is displayed only when the No of regions is set to 3.

Threshold

Threshold 2

Define the less or equal to value for the threshold region.

This configuration is displayed only when the No of regions is set to 3.

Note: To apply a threshold to a single metric with type cycle time, for example: the Case Cycle Time or an Event-Level Metric with type Cycle Time, the threshold value is written in days. To apply a threshold region to a cycle time longer than 12 days and 6 hours, you must input 12.25 as a value.
