Registry

The Registry section of the application is a shared functionality of the Process Intelligence application by both Process Modeler and Process Mining modules.

The Registry section of the application is displayed if you have a license for process modeling.

The data in the Registry consists of entries organized in categories.

In the Process Modeler module, entries can be used to define business concepts such as activities in a business process, which are described by a title and description. Such entries contain translations for the same activity in several languages. When using an entry with translations from a Process Map or BPMN diagram, you are automatically using its translations as well. See Content translation.

In the Process Mining module, entries can be used to define metadata, such as events, which are described by a title. Such entries also contain translations in several languages. When using an entry with translations in an Insight, you are automatically using its translations as well. See Creating an event.

For the Process Modeler module, users with the IPI-ModelerDesigner or IPI-ModelerAdmin role can use the registry to browse through available categories and add or edit entries. Permission restrictions may apply to users with the IPI-ModelerDesigner role. You cannot add or edit entries of the locked categories, and you cannot edit the locked entries. See Working with locked categories for details.

The modeler administrator defines categories on the Configuration > Categories page and permissions on the Settings > Permissions page. See the Infor Process Intelligence Administration Guide for details.

For the Process Mining module, users with the IPI-MiningAdmin role can use the registry to browse through the available categories and add or edit entries. Users with the IPI-MiningDataEngineer can create or use existing entries directly through the process mining module when defining metadata.

The mining administrator defines categories to be used in Process Mining module on the Configuration > Categories page as well. Permissions to access mining categories must be defined by a modeler administrator. See the Infor Process Intelligence Administration Guide for details.
