Setting an anchor object

The anchor object is used to calculate and connect the events into cases. Data cannot be loaded and used in the insight if at least one anchor object is not set. You can set as many anchor objects as there are in the process and prioritize them. The anchor object with the highest priority is always used first to calculate cases. If the anchor object with the highest priority cannot be found, then the anchor object with next priority is used. All types of objects can be set as anchors.

To set up an object as an anchor:

  1. Click an object to be set as an anchor from the list on the Objects Overview page.
  2. Click Set as Anchor on the object toolbar. If this is the first object set as an anchor, no action is required. If this is not the first object set as an anchor, a List of Anchors dialog box is displayed.
  3. Click the objects and drag and drop them to reorder the priority.
  4. Click Save. Objects are now set as anchors. An anchor image with each object's priority is displayed in the left panel.
Note: Only Infor-provisioned objects and custom objects can be set as anchors.
