Actions on the folder contents

When a folder is selected in the tree view, you can see the folder contents in the panel on the right side. You can choose to display the contents in this panel as a tiles view or a grid view.

To add folder contents, click the Add + button in the bottom right corner and select the type of content to add:

The folders and models are represented as cards in tiles view and as rows in the grid view. You can apply various actions on the folder contents.

This table gives an overview of the actions that are available in this panel:

Action Icon Description
Tiles View Tiles View The folder content is displayed as cards.
Grid View Grid View The folder content is displayed in a grid.
Sort Sort Sort the contents shown in tiles view. Only one sorting criterion can be applied at a time. The default sorting is by sequence if a user has defined a sequence for this folder; otherwise, the default sorting is based on alphabetical order and applies to all contents (folders and models).
Filter on status Filter the contents of a folder shown in tiles view based on the model status approved or draft. In grid view, you can apply this filter in the Status column.
Select Select Enter multi-select mode in tiles view. You can now select multiple cards and apply an action, such as delete. Individual item actions are not available in multi-select mode.
Cancel Selection Cancel Selection Exit the multi-select mode. This action is available only in tiles view and is visible only after Select is clicked once.
Select/Deselect All Select All Select all items in this view. This action is available only in tiles view and is visible only after Select is clicked once. Click again to deselect all items.
Cut Cut In multi-select mode, this action becomes enabled after you select one or more process models and/or subfolders to be moved to another location.

From the More menu of a process model tile, select this option to move only this model.

Copy Copy In multi-select mode, this action becomes enabled after you select one or more process models and/or subfolders to be copied to another location.

From the More menu of a process model tile, select this option to copy only this model.

Paste Paste This action becomes enabled after you use the Cut or Copy action. Click Paste to move or copy the content into the current folder. See Copying and moving folder content.
Approve selection This action becomes enabled after you select one or more models or folders. When applied, this action approves any models from this folder and all its subfolders that are in Draft status and skips the ones that are approved. In tiles view, this action is also available as Approve in the More menu of a draft model tile and as Approve all models in the More menu of a folder tile. Draft selection This action becomes enabled after you select one or more models or folders. When applied, this action creates a draft for the approved models from this folder and all its subfolders and skips the ones that already have a draft version. In tiles view, this action is also available as Create draft in the More menu of an approved model tile and as Draft all models in the More menu of a folder tile. Download List of Changes Download List of Changes This icon is visible after a folder comparison is performed. Click to download a differences report CSV file.
More More Click to see a content menu with item specific icons. This action is available in tiles view.
Edit Edit In the tiles view, select this option from the More menu of a folder tile to edit the folder properties.
Note: In grid view, double-click a row to edit.
View In the tiles view, select this option from the More menu of a process model tile to open this model in the BPMN Modeler or Process Map Designer, as applicable. In grid view, double-click a row to open a model in its modeler view.
Compare Compare From the More menu of a tile that represents a BPMN Model, select this option to start the Compare BPMN Models tool.
Delete Delete From the More menu, select this option to delete this item. This action is available in tiles view.
Note: In grid view, you must select the row by using the check box and then click the Delete icon.
Search Search Search for text contained in the name of a folder, a BPMN model name, or a process map name. By searching, you are applying a filter to the details view. The search term is visible in a tag. You can remove a search term by clicking the tag.
Clear All Clear All Remove all search tags at one time.
Compare Folders Compare Folders Click this icon from the toolbar of the Process Designer to start the folder comparison tool.
