Application role-based access
To access the Process Mining module, one of the IPI-MiningAdmin, IPI-MiningViewer, IPI-MiningDesigner, or IPI-MiningDataEngineer security roles is required.
This section describes the functionality available for each role.
Additionally, users with the role Infor-SystemAdministrator have access to all the functionality for all applications in the Infor Ming.le Portal.

This table describes the functionality of each menu option:
Menu option | Description |
---|---|
Process Viewer | This is the default landing page enabling a user to see an overview of the available industry business processes content. Inside this application section, the user can navigate to see the details of each process model. |
Process Designer | On this page, the user can view and create industry content by using the Process Map Designer and the BPMN Modeler to create diagrams. The content is organized in folders and subfolders. |
Document Generation | On this page, you can generate end-user documentation as DOCX or XSLX files for the selected content, based on predefined document templates. To use this feature, you must have the IPI-ModelerAdmin or IPI-ModelerDesigner security role as well as the IDM-User security role. |
Registry | This page displays the categories and subcategories and their entries. Users can add or edit the category entries if they have the required permissions. |
Configuration/Categories | On this page, you can define categories and subcategories. |
Configuration/Images | On this page, you can upload images into image libraries. |
Configuration/Custom Attributes | On this page, you can define custom attributes to be used in Process Maps and BPMN Models. |
Configuration/Navigation Configuration | On this page, you can define the application URL templates and other details needed for screen navigation. |
Configuration/Registry Tools | This page contains a set of scripts that can be used to declutter and organize the registry data. Each script is represented as a tile and can be run independently. |
Settings/Permissions | On this page, you can view, import, and export permissions that restrict the
visibility of the content folders based on security roles. The permissions are defined at the level of a main folder, by mapping one folder name to one security role name. For a user with design access, restriction permissions can be defined for categories. |

Users with IPI-MiningDataEngineer roles or with IPI-MiningInsightsDesigner roles must have access to the Registry as well. When giving one of this roles to a user, you must also give the user the IPI-ModelerDesigner role. Additionally, to be able to access the desired categories, you must set up Registry permissions on the menu for the IPI-ModelerDesigner role. See Design Permissions for more details about permissions.
