Application role-based access

To access the Infor Process Intelligence application, one of the IPI-ModelerAdmin, IPI-ModelerViewer or IPI-ModelerDesigner security roles is required.

This section describes the functionality available for each role.

Additionally, users with the role Infor-SystemAdministrator have access to all the functionality for all applications in the Infor Ming.le Portal.

Note: The Process Designer, Registry, Categories, Images, and Permissions for Design Access pages are available only with a process modeling license.

This table describes the functionality of each menu option:

Menu option Description
Processes This is the default landing page enabling a user to see an overview of the available industry business processes content. Inside this application section, the user can navigate to see the details of each process model.
Process Designer On this page, the user can view and create industry content by using the Process Map Designer and the BPMN Modeler to create diagrams. The content is organized in folders and subfolders.
Registry This page displays the categories and subcategories and their entries. Users can add or edit the category entries if they have the required permissions.
Modeling Configuration/Categories On this page, you can define categories and subcategories.
Modeling Configuration/Navigation Configuration On this page, you can define the application URL templates and other details needed for screen navigation.
Modeling Configuration/Images On this page, you can upload images into image libraries.
Modeling Configuration/Custom Attributes On this page, you can define custom attributes to be used in Process Maps and BPMN Models.
Settings/Permissions On this page, you can view, import, and export permissions that restrict the visibility of the content folders based on security roles.

The permissions are defined at the level of a main folder, by mapping one folder name to one security role name. For a user with design access, restriction permissions can be defined for categories.
Settings/Content Migration From this page, you can upload industry content that has been previously developed and is available as an .SGX archive so that it is migrated into the Infor Process Intelligence application. Migrated content is visible to end users in the Processes section of the application and to users with Design access in the Process Designer section of the application.
