Settings

The Settings page provides access to configuration tools for users to manage system connections, data sources, and operational components. Each tab within the Settings page supports specific actions that contribute to system setup, maintenance, and customization.

Data sources

Data sources provide a centralized interface for system administrators to manage reusable data sources, including credentials, connection parameters, and access permissions. The data sources defined by system administrators are integrated with the predefined data source options when launching a load pipeline.

This table shows the data source information displayed on the Data sources tab:
Attribute Description
ID This attribute is a unique identifier for the data source defined by the system.
Type The category or type of the data source. The supported data source types are Standard FHIR Store, AWS Healthlake, AWS S3, and Azure FHIR Store.
Name This attribute is the user-defined identifier for the data source. The data source name must be unique, contain 3 to 100 characters, and may include alphanumeric characters, hyphens, underscores, and periods.
Description This attribute contains a brief summary of the purpose or contents of the data source.

Users can add new data sources, edit existing configurations, or delete selected entries directly from the Data sources page. The attributes and validation rules for each data source are determined by the selected type during creation or editing.

See Data source configuration.

Patient groups

The Patient Group page shows a list of patient groups with relevant details and the associated patients for each group. Users can use the Patient Group page to define and manage sets of patients within the system. These groups play a key role in data loading and the calculation of pipelines in Population Health Analytics.

This table shows the patient group information displayed on the Patient groups tab:
Attribute Description
Name This attribute is the user-defined identifier for the patient group.
Group ID This attribute is a unique identifier for the patient group.
Description This attribute contains a brief summary of the purpose or contents of the patient group.
Patient # This attribute is the total number of patients in the patient group.
Created at The date and time when the patient group is created.

When you select a patient group from the list, you can access the list of patients included in the group.

See Patient group configuration.

Measures

Use the Measures tab to manage clinical quality measures used during pipeline calculations.

Administrators can upload a measure pack that contains multiple measures, measure definitions, and engine configuration files. Users can browse the measures to review detailed metadata for each measure.

This table shows the measure metadata that is displayed when you select a specific measure:

Metadata Description
Code This attribute is a unique identifier for the measure.
Name This attribute is the display name of the measure.
Family This attribute shows the Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) code family for the corresponding year.
Path This attribute shows the hierarchy path for grouping.
Version This attribute is the version label of the measure.
Description This attribute provides the full clinical description of the measure.

See Measure pack configuration.

Pipeline templates

Pipeline Templates provides users with a centralized location to manage reusable pipeline launch configurations. Clients can store all the details of a launch configuration as a launch template for future use. Each launch template has a unique name, and only one template with the same name can exist in the environment of each tenant.

This table shows the information about each template that are available on Pipeline Templates:

Template details Description
Template Name The name that identifies the pipeline template.
Template Date The configuration details for the template in JSON format.
Created At The date and time when the template is created.

To manage pipeline templates, see Pipeline templates configuration.

Databases

The Databases tab provides a centralized view of all databases configured in the system and access to database-level actions. Only users with the IPHA_SysAdmin role can access the Databases tab. Use the Databases tab to review database details, monitor storage usage, and perform administrative actions.

The tab shows a grid that lists each database with its attributes and provides a toolbar for database operations.

This table shows the columns on the Databases tab:
Column Description
ID Shows the unique identifier of the database
Name Shows the database name
Description Shows the defined purpose or scope of the database
Date created Shows the date and time when the database was created
Last purge date Shows the date and time of the last successful purge operation
Spaced used (MB) Shows the total storage used by the database and extracted patient data
Read only Shows whether the database is set to read-only
Default Shows the database set as the default for pipeline execution

Admins can sort by Name, Date created, Last purge date, and Space used, and filter by ID, Name, Description, and Space used.

See Database management.

Advanced

Use the Advanced tab to manage FHIR resource types, anonymization configurations, pipeline logging, and configuration backup and restore.

This table shows the sections that are available on the Advanced tab:

Section Description
Supported Resources Types Configuration for FHIR resource types that are supported in the Population Health Analytics application
Anonymizer Configuration Configuration of rulesets that are used to anonymize clinical data during processing
Pipeline Logging Configuration of log levels that are generated by pipelines
Configuration Backup/Restore Configuration of backup and restoration settings for selected system configuration elements

See Anonymizer configuration.
